An action plan can help you and your group set goals and plan the steps along the way to achieving them. MYAN provides tools and technical support to assist youth groups in creating and achieving their action plans. Some action planning tools are available below, or contact MYAN for more support.
YOUTHINK
A Portland based youth philanthropy board that, in partnership with adult allies, offers grants to youth and youth groups that support youth-driven social change. YOUTHINK is funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and has funded and supported many successful youth development endeavors in Greater Portland.
- YOUTHINK facilitated action planning sessions at MYAN's 23rd Annual Peer Leadership Conference. They shared some of their “tried and true” tools for understanding the issues and creating change such as the root causes tree activity and how to “plan backwards.” If you would like to learn more about their action planning tools, youth philanthropy or just learn more about YOUTHINK they can be reached through Ainsley Wallace at 874-8236 or at wallaa@portlandschools.org.
