MYAN Youth Planning Teams (YPT)
Back to Home
"I have loved every minute, every hour of being part of the YPT. It has helped shape me into the strong confident leader I am today."
"My favorite part of being a member of the YPT was the feeling of knowing that I played a part in making all those people come together for one common cause."
Youth Planning Teams (YPTs) are at the core of MYAN's belief in the power of youth & adult partnerships. Each event that MYAN plans is guided by a YPT made up of youth from across the state. These youth participate in every aspect of event-planning, providing feedback & making decisions to shape the event.

- The YPT for the 2006 Peer Leadership Conference included youth from Medway, Bristol, Scarborough, Fort Fairfield, Madison, Rumford, and Portland. These youth came together frequently for the six months prior to the event to give feedback and make decisions about every aspect of the event planning, from the keynote speaker & workshop topics, to the food & decorations.
