The Maine Youth Action Network (MYAN) is a statewide Network of support for youth and adults who are striving to effect positive change. We strongly believe in the power of youth and adult partnerships, and the capacity we all have to change the world we live in.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
MYAN staff are available by phone or email for individual technical assistance to answer questions, offer resources & ideas, or connect you with other programs for peer support.

MYAN has a huge resource collection of web links, contacts and downloadable handouts on tons of different topics. There are pages specifically for youth-adult partnership and youth leadership skill development, but check out all the pages. There's lots of great stuff!
TRAINING
Partnering for Change: A Training for Youth & Adults Transforming Their Communities
This day-long workshop brings youth & adults together to discuss the amazing and challenging relationships they have, and to learn skills and gain resources to help them work together successfully as they strive to create positive change in their communities.
2008-2009 Dates & Locations
- January 14th: Maine at the American Legion Hall, Greenville (snow date January 21st)
- January 16th: Maine at the Green Ladle Café, Lewiston (snow date January 23rd)
- February 4th: Maine at Houlton Regional Hospital, Houlton (snow date February 11th)
- March 25th: Maine at the Cobosocook Community Learning Center, Lubec (snow date April 1st)
Registration
- Registration is required.
- Groups may register up to 10 people (groups must have a ration of 1 adult to every 5 youth).
- Registration materials coming soon!
2008-2009 Fees
- Healthy Maine Partnership (HMP) staff and HMP-funded groups attend for FREE!
- Non-HMP youth and adults are also very welcome. Fees for non-HMP groups are $60 per adult and $15 per youth. Limited scholarships available.
Trainings By Special Request
Due to a plates full of many exciting projects & commitments, MYAN has limited capacity to offer trainings outside of our normal schedule, but we are occasionally available.
